RP 24b Julia Elected to Convention Committee

Julia was elected to the constitution and by-laws committee of District 4 at the meeting, Markward reported years later, before the 1954 House Commit-tee on Un-American Activities Committee, when she testified that “she received the impression that JULIA represented a closed group composed of government workers at the recent state Convention, and that she was able to represent the group because, being a housewife and not a Government worker, she was able to attend open CP meetings.”
