RP 90a A Towel Observed via Discreet Surveillance
Text on page 90:
The FBI, ever alert to the goings, comings and private lives of the Kotelchuck family, noticed soon after Abe returned home from his “underground activities” that Julia hung up a towel on the tiny back porch of our third-floor apartment, embroidered with the name “Hotel Pritchett 1943.” How the FBI could find this out is a mystery, since the porch could hardly be seen from ground level and trees further blocked the view; the FBI reported that they had discovered the name on the towel through “discreet surveillance.”
